Do you ever look at flowers and imagine something else? Call it an overactive imagination.
Like fireworks exploding in loud bursts of color, celebrating the Spring that is now finally here...
Sometimes, when they think I have my back turned, I even catch a glimpse of their plant cheekiness,
I think the petals on the osteospernum are very odd. They must have been selected and bred like that. Love the vibrant colours on your post. I think mine are a bit too subtly sometimes. A friend even suggested that I needed a splash of colour. Maybe I'll paint my outdoor seat red or orange....
@Janet, I know aren't they the strangest. I keep thinking they will open up more, but don't, the anticipation of what might be is killing me. How fun to paint your bench in such an eye catching color, I'm sure it will look great and really hope you post some pics. I have a white bench that desperately needs some inspiration =)
@Grace, not sure if its the grey skies still making me loopy, but their personalities are surely bursting out at the moment!! I'm just loving the bright happy colors.
You are showing off some pretty vibrant colors today. So pretty.I am trying to make up my mind about the petals on the osteospermum. I think I like them because they are so different. I showed one to my daughter and she wanted to know what was wrong with it. LOL!
Three cheers for color! I like the petals on the osteospermum, so cool. They do look like white fireworks exploding against the backdrop of an evening sky :)
The osteospermum looks like something that should be growing on the sea bed, waving about under water. (It may feel that way in Seattle...) And what had you just done to that pansy--told it to eat its fish emulsion or something? :) Gorgeous colors!
Now that is some hot summer color! I have an overactive imagination too...I love the cheeky plants you have. Brings a bit of humor to the garden and it is great that your plants are communicating with you!
Fantastic post!!! The flowers in that first photo look like they had a little run-in with Dr. Seuss. ;) Your plants are indeed cheeky - I love the variety, the bold colors, and their saucy flaunting ways!
Oh oh, something seems to have Landed in your garden and is...Gardening. Honestly, I thought that first image was a painting or digital improv, amazing blooms!
These flowers are absolutely fabulous! The top one looks extraterrestrial! So glad that you shared your wonderful blog. I'm coming back for more visits as your new follower. Thanks for your visit and your kind words about my artwork. Barb

ReplyDeletePlants are people, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yours are so cheery in their bright costumes!

ReplyDeleteI just love the first starburst of blue flower but don't know its name. Speaking of names... Polka Dot Galoshes is a rather cute one!
