Exploring Tide-pools, the oceans garden, where nature grows the weird and the wonderful. For the next week while vacationing on the Oregon coast this is my garden and my backyard playground...Pure serenity!
One of our best vacations ever was to the Oregon coast. We didn't plan anything, didn't book any rooms, just got in the car and went. Found some fabulous B&Bs to stay in, and of course got to enjoy some truly spectacular coast line. So much less crowded up there than along our California beaches. Hope you have a blast!
Julie, Yesterday and today have been unbelievably hot and humid. Most unusual for the shore of Lake Michigan. Since it is way to hot to work in the Gardens at Waters East, it is a good time to catch up on your Blog and other Blogs I am following. The Oregon coast is so beautiful. thanks for the postings. A few years back I spent two weeks going all the way down the coast from the state of Washington. took in every light house I could find and all the wonderful beaches. It surely is a fantastic place to be. Enjoy. Jack
Hi Julia! What a wonderful way to put it - Tide pools, the ocean's garden - I hadn't ever thought of them that way but I LIKE it! Yes, your photos make me want to go to the coast too. Love the smell and feeling of the beach towns dotted along the Oregon coast. Enjoy!
This brings me back to when I used to spend hours at a time in those tidal pools off the coast of Vancouver, turning over rocks, poking at creatures, popping seaweed and digging for clams. Thanks for the refresher, and enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my latest post! I love sharing my gardening adventures and reading your wonderful comments. Happy digging...Cheers Julia!!
Beautiful! I have always wanted to see the West coast ... someday in person. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI so miss the rock pools of my youth. We used to spend family vacations on the gulf islands, gorgeous doesn't describe them well enough.
