Wordless Wednesday...Beautiful invasions

This year is about letting go of what is perceived as a perfect yard.
I am learning to embrace what is just meant to be!
Don't you just love nature in all its pure and unplanned beauty!

  3. I know Julia, not matter what I do, I always have a few dandelions popping up in my yard. Because our property is backed up to a field, we get more than our share of unexpected surprises!

  4. The way you photographed the dandelions makes them looks so lovely with those bright yellow blooms. And they are edible, too. A great WW post!

  7. Dandelions remind me of my kids picking them for bouquets. I love your picture of them. The slugs on the other hand are taking over my yard. One even found it's way into the house via the dog :(

  9. Beautiful! I just love it that you have taken time to appreciate things that are usually not appreciated. Granted sometimes for good reasons, but I think it's really important to see the beauty in everything! Thanks for seeing it, capturing it, and sharing it!

  10. I just love that you have taken the time to appreciate things that are not often very appreciated! Sure, there are plenty of good reasons why these two buggers are not appreciated, but I think it's important to look for what's beautiful in everything now and then.

Thanks for these gorgeous photographs that remind us to do so!

  11. "Perfect Yard" is like "Finished Garden" -- it doesn't exist. It gets flaws before you can get the camera out. For me the joy is in the moment, in the growing, in the anticipation. I noticed yesterday that dandelions here had succumbed to drought while grass just goes dormant.

  12. Julia, It’s another wonderful rainy Spring day, so I’m taking time to look over the Blogs I follow. Wanted to see what you have been up to. I would be happy just to see a few dandelions. It has still been rather cold and rainy so not much happening other than the daffodils and scilla, though I do enjoy seeing them. I do agree, can not get to crazy trying to have the "perfect" garden. Better to step back a little and enjoy, even if weeds show up. I'll be checking in with you soon. Jack
